gym

Who has a gym membership?
I've plateaued at 7st 1, (99lbs) i've been there for like a month now :(
the thing is, i hardly do any exercise. just day to day stuff, although i do walk everywhere and really fast, i know it's not enough.
I knowwww if i join the gym i will get below 99lbs. but here are some of my worries:
1. money
2. i'm worried i'll see people i know who are thin and good at the gym
3. i've never been before
4. i'm fat and people will stare at me.

my friend matt keeps telling me he'll go with me, but he's been before and i hate being new at things people have already started! does anyone have any advice?

anyway, today i've had weetabix already. i'll maybe have lunch if i have to, if my boyfriend comes round. i will try not to have dinner.

  1. Trust me, once you start sure it will be hard. Have a fruit before you go to the gym so you won't be drained in the first 5 minutes! As soon as you make the commitment and go in as much as possible and set goals like "I'll run for 15 minutes with out stopping then next time I'll add 5 more minutes, then 10 more minutes..." and so on. You just need your body to get used to it. :)

  3. that are my concerns too. :( that's why i hate doing exercise in public. i actually do exercise in the middle of the night where no one can see me.

  4. i'm thinking once i really get into it i might go early morning when i know other teenagers won't really be there, only ones who are really concerned about their weight and therefore won't be looking at me. thank you for all your advice guys :D it's really motivated me. i just needed another opinion cause i was 'umming and ahhing' whether to go or not. after my exams it's a definite :D
